Thanks for reading!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Sorry I haven't been back as often as I wanted to. I was sick earlier in the week and some other issues have come up too! But I am back and I am hoping that I can post more regularly.

Thanksgiving brought me a custom order! I will be working on that this weekend and finishing up my own personal Christmas cards. I posted a few new cards too. For those of you who look at my shop www.paperika.etsy.com I listed new cards. There aren't enough pictures to properly show the whole listing, so here they are!

A grand idea for another post!

I've been checking out other Etsy sellers, and I just got an idea....I would like to share with you some of my favorites out there!

This week, I'll spend some time sharing with you my favorite sellers. I was promoting my shop on the forums and asking members to see their snowman products and so many people had adorable Snowmen so I thought I'd share with you some cute creations!

Today I will highlight two of my favorites:
Crafty Little kitten has some adorable stuffed snowmen and Santa Claus items. Her shop site is : www.craftykitten.etsy.com

Earthly Creations: She's an awesome seller who has given my some great advice on my shop's pictures. She has some great pieces! She has some really creative pieces. One particular thing I really liked was some earrings in the shape of a fish! Jewelry is a hot item to sell and Earthly is really creative! She also has a pair of earrings that are pink and adorable. I also like her giraffe pendant and the dolphin pendant.
Her shop's address is:

Christmas in November!

Wow, I checked my blog here and didn't realize how long it's been since I last posted. I was busy with work and making creations for my Etsy shop. Now I've been off work for what will be at least a month because of a medical problem with my feet.

I have made 231 Christmas cards so far and more are in the making. I am sure more creations will be coming, as I just bought myself a great little tool that is brand new to the scrapbooking world. It's by Making Memories, and it's called The Slice. It's a digital die cut machine and I love it. Very easy to use, the shapes are cute, and it's little so it's portable.

Without further ado, let me show you what I've been working on!

Boo to You!

These adorable gift tags are about to be the newest addition to my Etsy shop! The image of the ghost is what inspired me to make a ghost shape tag, which was made from two different templates! They were lots of fun to make. I am going to upload some more tags and cards throughout this week!

2 peas Challenge

The 2 peas challenge for today was to answer why creativity is so important. While I think about this question, I think that there are 2 ways to look at this question. I hear from people that they don't think they are creative at all. What does that mean? I guess I think they can't think of good ideas for a project. I don't think that's the only definition. I think of being creative as the process of making something too.

Sometimes I don't feel like thinking of a creative way to make something, so I'll rely on past projects or a magazine for inspiration. Most of the time though, I feel like I NEED to be creative. It's relaxing for me, and it gives me joy to see what I have come up with. I think I am pretty creative when it comes to crafts. Even at work I think about ways I can be creative. The trouble is I am asked many times for a creative idea for something they need to do, but put me on the spot and I can't think that fast. I have to think for quite a while with little to no distractions.

So basically, I do think being creative is important. I strive on it. It's rewarding, and fun. When it seems like it's too much work, sometimes that's when my best work comes out!

Organization

Well, I haven't had a chance to scrap and put stuff on my etsy shop (www.paperika.etsy.com) because I made a scrap album for my cousin's wedding!

I did spend all day today reorganizing my stash. I redid my paper so it was more organized by theme and wasn't so weighed down on my little cart by Scrapbook Solutions. I also reorganized my ribbon, eyelets, brads and buttons. I bought some little shelf things in the back to school section so I could get better use of my limited space. Things are a little better there too!

That's about it. I am in the process of working out some ideas for bookmarks to post on my shop. I also want to post some cards too and some notecards. I hope you take a peek!

Welcome to my World!

Hi! This is my first time ever blogging. I hope you enjoy what you see. For the most part, the purpose of this blog is to show my work. I am a scrapbooker, and recently opened a shop on Etsy.com. The site hosts a venue for people who enjoy making handmade crafts and they want to sell them. My address for my business is this : www.paperika.etsy.com. Currently I have cards, gift tags, altered tins, and mini scrapbook albums for sale. I've recently jumped on the hot trend of making acrylic albums!

I take custom orders too for invitations, albums, or anything related to paper. All you have to do is contact me via the conversation feature and I'll be happy to work with you!

Thanks for reading so far. I will be posting some of my work in the near future, so keep checking back!
